Both\u00a0Sodium Laureth Sulfate<\/em>\u00a0(SLES) and its close relative\u00a0Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)<\/a>\u00a0are\u00a0commonly used in many soaps, shampoos, detergents, toothpastes<\/strong>\u00a0and other products that we expect to “foam up”. Both chemicals are very effective foaming agents, chemically known as surfactants.<\/p>\n
