Starving cancer away | Sophia Lunt | TEDxMSU
Just like our healthy and balanced cells, malignant cancer cells require power to make it through. Dr. Sophia Lunt describes exactly how she plans to remove cancer cells’ survival possibility, as well as pioneer a brand-new way of halting their growth.
Dr. Sophia Lunt began her training in metabolic process at Princeton University, where she received her Ph.D. examining the metabolic effects of the antibiotic medicine trimethoprim. As a postdoctoral fellow at MIT, she concentrated on cancer cells metabolic rate, as well as was granted the CDMRP PRCRP Visionary Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Department of Defense to support her study. She currently runs a research study laboratory concentrated on cancer cells metabolic process at Michigan State University.
