SHOCKING! ConAgra and the truth about BPA poisoning
VIDEO: BPA in your canned foods, plastic bottles …learn how it can cause Cancer!
BPA is a ubiquitous industrial chemical used in everything from clear plastic water bottles to the thermal paper used to print receipts. Despite this abundance of uses, studies have shown that canned foods and beverages are one of the major sources of human exposure. This is because BPA leaches freely from can linings into food and canned foods are so widely consumed.
Why is BPA bad for you?
This type of poisoning won’t kill you over night but over time it will start to affect your health in subtle ways such as low energy, behavioral problems in children, miscarriages and it has even been linked to birth defects such as Down syndrome. BPA creates havoc on your endocrine system. It tricks your body because Bisephenol-a is registering in your system as Estrogen. When your hormones are out of balance many health issues show up.
As part of the latest research, 75 volunteer subjects consumed either a 12 ounces of vegetarian soup from a can (Progresso was the brand used) every day for a total of five days, or the same size serving of freshly made vegetarian soup for the same five-day period.
No doubt you’ve heard of the chemical bisphenol A (BPA). It is used during the manufacturing process of large numbers of metal food and drink cans, among many other things, and has gotten lots of press over the years due to increasing BPA levels found in people.
According to Jonathan Schein, publisher of MetroGreenBusiness.com, “BPA is a known carcinogen that is also considered quite toxic to the human endocrine and nervous system as well dangerous to the thyroid. Its potency has been studied by several public and private agencies and it’s basically considered to be a poison.”
