Liver Cancer | Thelma’s Story
8 months after undertaking an effective surgical treatment for colon cancer, Delaware citizen Thelma Klase, was detected with a big cancerous growth in her liver, thought to be metastatic colon cancer. After a preliminary attempt at surgical treatment fell short and also months of chemotherapy targeting her presumed colon cancer, Thelma and her household sought a second point of view from Matthew Weiss, a liver doctor and surgical director of the Johns Hopkins Liver and Pancreatic Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinics. He got rid of the lump, which turned out not to be metastatic colon cancer cells, but a totally different liver cancer.
